Art Class Mural, 2006 (designed by Julie Jacobson)
Established in 2001, by the  Women’s and Gender Studies Program the Women’s Well-Being Initiative (WWBI) aims to engage faculty, staff and students in campus-community partnerships that promote the well-being of women and girls in the Midlands, and to enhance the recognition of the full diversity of women's experiences across race, class, age, ethnicity and other dimensions of difference.

Our mission is to improve the well-being of women and girls through interdisciplinary partnerships and direct community participation, particularly within local communities surrounding the University. Faculty, staff and students volunteer their time and contribute their expertise to WWBI research, outreach, and program activities.
